“Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight” (Rom. 12:16).

“May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus” (Romans 15:5).

“Live in harmony with one another” (1 Pet. 3:8).

“Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, how will you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another” (Mark 9:50).

“…agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you” (2 Corinthians 13:11b).

It requires much discipline to turn the other cheek, and a great deal more maturity to walk away from a fight or an argument than engage in meaningless chatter.  Such childish antics are altogether unproductive and lead to division.   Being at peace requires preferring one another above oneself and avoiding conflict.  In connection with peace and harmony, the verses above are associated with humility and being agreeable with your spiritual family.  Arguments and division, by contrast, are often caused by the arrogant spirit who thinks they know more than they do.
