We often focus on the things people do that infuriate us and disturb us, wishing that some justice would be met and all the wrongs are corrected. I have seen thieves who continue to steal without any evidence of a bothered conscience but only look for another opportunity. When it angers me to see some immediate justice, I am reminded that I, too, am a sinner who would not fair well in a court of pure law. The best that I can hope for is a merciful Father who will pardon my sins through the blood of His Son. In this way, we are all reminded that we don’t want the same justice that wish on others. For in granting it, God would poor out His justice on us, too. God said, “Vengeance is mine. I will repay”. And, believe me, He will whether it’s you, me, or that poor sinner thief. So, be careful what you seek because while condemning others, you may be condemning yourself.
